I made this Birthday cake for my sister-in-law, Jen. I decided to start experimenting with marshmallow fondant to see what would happen. I'm very pleased with how it turned out.
Since the weather has been nice lately, we've decided to start taking Elizabeth to our community pool. At first she really didn't like being in the pool. It was kind of odd since we're so use to her being fearless. Turns out she just wanted to do things on her own and explore the pool instead of having mommy and daddy constantly hold her while in it. To come up with a solution to this problem since we really can't let go of her in the pool, we decided to get her a float that is made for infants her age. She really likes it!!! Don't worry if you don't see Randy in some of the shots. He went under water when I took the photos.
With the nice break from thunderstorms, we decided to take advantage of it and go to the Botanical Gardens in downtown Fort Worth. We had a great time and it brought back a few memories. The last time we were there, we were getting our engagement pictures done.
I'm an engineer by day and baker by night. I have a B.S. in Material Science and Engineering. At home, my material of choice is cake. I enjoy the creativity of cake decorating and all that can be done with it. I have three crazy kids and married to one awesome man. Life is crazy but I enjoy every minute of it.
