Christmas Vacation!!
Today I start my Christmas Vacation! Woohoo!!! I'm so glad I'll get the next week or so off to relax and do whatever I want. This year we're planning on staying home for Christmas. I'm really looking forward to it. I really don't mind travel, but being almost 32 weeks pregnant, even the thought of traveling makes me tired. Not to mention my doctor really doesn't recommend it. This year we're going to be playing everything by ear. My sister will be coming to visit, so we'll be showing her around the area, hitting all of the malls and such. It will be fun. Now that we have Internet at home, expect more frequent updates and pictures.

30 Week Appointment
I can't believe I'm already 30 Weeks!!! Time is flying by. Everything is looking good. I passed my glucose tolerance test, so no gestational diabetes for me. Our little guy is doing well. He's very active and moves all the time. So much, in fact, my doctor asked if he had been active recently since his heartbeat was so high (~160). My blood pressure was 110/70 and my total weight gain so far is 20 lbs. I'm starting bi-weekly appointments now, so expect more frequent updates.

Poor Elizabeth
UPDATE (12/6/07): Elizabeth still had a pretty high fever yesterday, so we took her in again to get another shot of antibiotics. Since then, the fever hasn't come back, and it looks like our little girl is getting back to normal. Thank you for all the prayers. We really appreciate it. We should get the lab results back hopefully by the end of the week, but it looks like the diagnosis was correct.
Our little girl hasn't been doing to well. It started out with a fever Sunday night which peaked at 105. We got it down to about 103 pretty quickly, but it was difficult to keep it under control. We got her to the doctor and found out that she has a kidney infection. She got two shots of antibiotics at the doctor's office and will be having 10 days of more antibiotics. We're so worried about her. She's still getting a fever even though we're giving her Tylenol every 3 hours. Randy is taking her back to the doctor, because the fever should be gone by now. They'll be giving her another shot of antibiotics. We'll keep you posted.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Our Thanksgiving was very relaxing. We stayed home and enjoyed a hearty meal with my mom and grandmother. The most exciting part was it SNOWED!!! It's very unusual for it to snow here this early. The whole Holiday weekend was very cold and chilly. Needless to say there was a lot of hot chocolate being used at our house. We also started decorating for the Christmas. We put the tree up, however, it is not decorated yet. If you remember from last year, our cats did this to our tree.

We're giving them some time this year to get use to it before we put up the ornaments. So far they seem to be doing better.

Double Digits!!
Woohoo!! We have less than 100 days to go until we meet our little guy. This pregancy is going by faster than I thought it would. We still have so much to do. Fortunately, I'll have some time over the Christmas vacation and right before the due date to hopefully get some things done. Right now we are in the process of painting a couple of the rooms in our house. It's a slow process since I have to be out of the house while Randy is painting. I'm hoping it will be finished within the next couple of weeks.

24 Week Appointment
Everything is looking good! I'm measuring right on target. To date, I've gained 13 pounds which isn't that bad considering all of the Outback cheese fries I've been eating. I just can't get enough of them!!! My blood pressure was 110/70 and heartbeat is looking good. I did find out that our little guy is no longer transverse, however, we're not sure if he's head down or breech at the moment. The good thing is there's still plenty of time and room for him to get in the right position. I'm just not use to having such a mobile baby since Elizabeth was head down from the very beginning. My next appointment I get to be tested for gestational diabetes. I left today's appointment with the tasty orange sludge I have to drink for the test. I'm not looking forward to it.

She's Addicted!
First off, I would like to say I have absolutely no idea who Elizabeth gets this from, LOL. Lately, all she wants to do is dunk everything in ketchup!!! She even gave me pancakes to put in ketchup. She can't get enough of it. Sigh...I just have to face the fact I have a daughter that's a ketchup addict.

Time for a Poll
The date for the BIG ultrasound is set for October 4th. I'm curious to see what everyone thinks we are having. I've posted a poll, so feel free to vote. To help make your decision, here is some background information.
1. Morning sickness was worse this time around and lasted 2 weeks longer.
2. Cravings have been the same as with Elizabeth.
3. Chinese Calendar Prediction - With Elizabeth it was correct, this time it is also predicting a girl.
4. Heartbeat is in the same range (150's)
5. So far I'm carrying the same as with Elizabeth, but as you can see from the belly pics that's not saying a lot since I'm really not showing all that much.

Tap...Tap, Tap!
That's all I've been feeling today in my belly. Our little toad is break dancing, gymnastics, or something in there. It's neat!

16 Week Appointment
Everything is looking good. It took a while to find the heartbeat because the little toad kept moving around. We finally picked up a heartbeat that was in the 150's. I've gained only 2 pounds so far in this pregnancy. I was expecting more with all of the pigging out I've been doing lately. However, it looks like the weight gain is similar to how it was for Elizabeth. My next appointment is in 4 weeks!

Technical Difficulties
I actually attempted to load some past due pictures, however, our modem isn't really functioning. Our motivation to get it replaced is lacking because at the end of this week we'll finally be able to switch to another Internet provider and ditch the one we've been stuck with since we moved here. So in the interim I'm only able to update what I can on my breaks at work. Hopefully by next week everything will be running smoothly.

Food!!!
I've got food on the brain every minute of the day. So much that you would think I haven't eaten in the past four months! Oh wait!!! I really haven't had much to eat the past four months. It's so nice to finally have an appetite. I was beginning to think it would never come back. Now I think my body is trying to compensate for all that lost time. It's not even lunch time and I've already had breakfast, lunch, two snacks, and I'm already thinking about dinner. HELP!!!!!

Please Forgive Me
I apologize for not updating our blog that much lately. I've been battling all day morning sickness which has made me not want to do a whole lot. It's starting to ease up a bit so I'm hoping in the next week or so, I'll have more energy. We'll be traveling to Albuquerque next week for my 10 year high school reunion. Can you believe its already been 10 years!?!! I can't. I'm really looking forward to seeing friends and family.

Well....
It turns out that Elizabeth has sensitive skin. She's had a rash on her face for a while and we have tried everything to get rid of it. The past couple of days it started to spread, so we decided to take her to the doctor. Now we are off to by dye free, scent free, everything free detergents, soaps, and shampoos. I foresee a lot of laundry in our future.

Lazy Days of Summer
Since the weather has been nice lately, we've decided to start taking Elizabeth to our community pool. At first she really didn't like being in the pool. It was kind of odd since we're so use to her being fearless. Turns out she just wanted to do things on her own and explore the pool instead of having mommy and daddy constantly hold her while in it. To come up with a solution to this problem since we really can't let go of her in the pool, we decided to get her a float that is made for infants her age. She really likes it!!! Don't worry if you don't see Randy in some of the shots. He went under water when I took the photos.

Bathtime Adventures
Elizabeth was having so much fun today while taking a bath, I just had to grab the camera and document her bathtime adventures.
It all started with playing with the various toys she has in tub. As you can see, she is really into playing with those toys.

After a while of playing she finally noticed that I had a camera and took it upon her self to strike a pose.

We then proceeded to play a nice game of peek-a-boo with the shower curtain.

During all of this fun and excitement I hear "Uh oh" Can you guess what happened?

She POOPED in the tub!!

I know...
I've been such a slacker lately when it comes to updating our blog. Things have been so crazy lately. With traveling to Utah and work being extremely busy I feel like I still haven't caught up with everything. However, I promise I'll start doing better. So keep on the lookout for more posts and pictures....Hopefully.

No More Formula!
Elizabeth hasn't had any formula for over a week now. I can't tell you how relieved I am that she is done with it. Along with her regular meals she'll have 24 oz or less of milk a day. Now we are trying to wean her off the bottle and have her use a sippy cup permanently. She'll use one for juice and water but not for milk. I'm hoping it will be an easy transition. Now if only I could get her potty trained...Oh well, I know that is months off.

Glitter Graphics
Elizabeth is ONE!!! I'm amazed at all of the different changes she has gone through in one year. She's walking, running, climbing, waving "bye, bye", saying mama and dada, and she is very curious about the world around her. She doesn't like the word "no" and she can turn on the tears quicker than anyone I know. Elizabeth is getting more independant by the day. I wonder what this next year has in store for her.
