Mama!

Yep....she said "Mama"! I'm so excited!!! She doesn't say it as much as "Dada", but that's okay with me. At least she says it now.

Crafty

With Elizabeth's first Birthday coming up, I've started to plan what we are going to do for the big day. I decided to start with the invitations. However, being an engineer, I'm seriously lacking in the creativity department. For the past week I've been playing around with designs and wording and I think I've finally come up with something. Hopefully, by next week I'll be done with them. In the mean time, I'm really enjoying being so crafty.

A New Talent

Elizabeth has skillfully mastered the fine art of furniture moving. I think she'll be able to go pro someday.

She first decided to move the high chair in front of the tv in the family roon. What better way to enjoy your meal than in front of the tv watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

However, she decided that eating in front of the tv wasn't good, so she proceeded to move the high chair back into the kitchen.

Should I put it by this wall? Hmmmmm.......

If I put it here I have access to the cabinets....Score!!!!

Hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts, and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters who had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place. It's worth reading to the end!

Those of you who have worked with attorneys will find this very easy to understand.

Others will find it easier.

ATTORNEY: Are you sexually active?
WITNESS: No, I just lie there.

9 Month Check-Up

Everything went very well. I'm so glad that Elizabeth didn't have to get any shots this time. The doctor says Elizabeth is doing well. Elizabeth is 30" long and weighs 20 lbs 6 oz. That still puts her in the 97th+ percentile for height and 80th percentile for weight.

9 Months Old

Where has the time gone?!?!?!? My little girl is 9 months old already! I'm so amazed at all the changes that have happened in only 9 months. First, Elizabeth went from having light brown hair to almost a platinum blond. She went from laying there like a slug to not being able to sit still and at times walking. Her eyes are no longer bright blue, but they change between green and blue/grey. She talks, however, most of the time we don't know what she is saying except for Dada. She has the most adorable personality that just melts your heart. She's growing up too fast!!

Happy New Year!

I had the privilege of welcoming the New Year in the bathroom praying to the porcelain god. That's right...I had the stomach flu. Lucky me! It was awful! Fortunately by about 5 o'clock in the morning I could keep water down. Now I'm enjoying the aftermath with an aching, weak body. I was suppose to go to work today, but I didn't make it. We're praying that Elizabeth doesn't get it. I hope the flu that we got just happen to be one of the strains that was covered in her flu shot. So far she has no signs so we'll see. Only time will tell.
