Merry Christmas!

This Christmas has been full of fun and excitement. Elizabeth has been the energizer bunny. She just keeps on going until she pretty much collapses of exhaustion.

First Steps

What better gift this Christmas than Elizabeth taking her first steps. It happened on Christmas Eve at Grandma and Grandpa Ward's house. It was amazing to watch!! We are so proud of her and we were so glad that the family was there to see it.

We Have Arrived!

Well, we have safely arrived in sunny San Deigo. We had a good drive and Elizabeth did very well. She pretty much slept the whole way. It was wonderful. I'm so glad we decided to take the southern route through El Paso. It turns out the I-40 was shut down for quite some time. Albuquerque pretty much shut down after getting 5+ inches of snow. Elizabeth is enjoying herself. She's all of sudden talking like crazy and is exploring everything. Everyone is enjoying her company. We'll update with pictures soon.

Happy Holidays!

Well, today we're going to start our big drive to California. It's going to be interesting to see how Elizabeth takes to travel. Due to weather, we've had to re-think our route. Instead of going through Albuquerque, which is suppose to be getting 2 to 4 inches of snow today, we'll be taking the southern route through El Paso. We are a little disappointed that we won't be able to go to Albuquerque, but safety comes first. We hope to catch it on our way back. We wish everyone a wonderful holiday and we'll be seeing you next year!

More Teeth!!

UPDATE! 12/15/06: I should just not post when it comes to teeth because things always change so quickly. I said that Elizabeth has four teeth coming in, however, upon further examination she has EIGHT teeth coming in. Among these is her lower incisor which has already broke through and the other one is closely following. Her top incisors and upper and lower canine teeth will also be making apperance pretty soon. According to Randy's Anatomy and Physiology book these teeth usually don't come in until the age of 12-24 months. Molars don't usually come in until 24-36 months. So....in Elizabeth time, she'll have molars next month!

HOLY COW!!! Elizabeth is working on FOUR more teeth. They haven't broke through the gum yet, but they will in the next couple of days. If you look in her mouth you can see them. They are all on top, two on either side of her front teeth. I was hoping that since her front teeth are pretty gappy that these would help close the gap but it doesn't look like they will. Well Elizabeth, it looks like you will have more than your two front teeth for Christmas.

Santa Baby

Today Elizabeth got to meet Santa for the first time. She really enjoyed herself. I'm so glad Daddy took her to see him since there is no way I'll go near him. I'm really hoping she'll not take after her Mommy and enjoy seeing Santa every year around Christmas. I think it would be nice to have pictures of her and Santa as the years go by.

8 Months Old

I've been such a slacker lately when it comes to updating our site. Everything has been kind of crazy lately with Randy studying for finals and with getting everything ready for our big trip to California. Elizabeth is 8 months old and going strong. She's in to EVERYTHING and can't sit still for very long. She loves to play with her friend, Emily. It is so much fun to watch them play together. We can have two of the same toy and they'll have to play with which ever one the other is playing with. It's hilarious. At 8 months old, Elizabeth is weighing a little over 20 lbs and is close to 29.5" long. She loves to stand and walk (with help) everywhere. She's not walking on her own yet, but I think it will be happening soon. She's very curious, and has figured out how to open pretty much everything. We've had to re-think our baby proofing concept because of it. She's starting to talk a lot more lately. She can easily do "dadadadada", which I know Randy loves. She also will say "babababa". It's very cute!! I can't wait for everyone to see her at Christmas. She is such a joy to be around.

Peek-a-boo!

I see you!!!!

This is what Zoe and the other cats were up to when we had the Christmas tree. As I stated in the post below, they completely destroyed our tree and left us with this
